Accommodations
Along with the 100's of Hotels in beautiful San Diego California, CEPE2007 is providing three types of special accommodations for the conference.
USD campus dorm rooms are available at the Alcala Vista Apartments. These are reasonably priced, nice, and one can easily walk to the conference events.
The disadvantage is that one cannot easily walk to anything else except the San Diego Trolley, which is about 1 kilometer (mostly downhill).
Single rooms are available with two people sharing an apartment (private bath/shared apartment). We can accommodate no more than 12 individuals (6 apartments), and everyone must check out of their rooms no later than 8:00am on the 15th due to a large group checking in starting at 10am.
We cannot accommodate families, only participants. We provide bed and bath linens and a breakfast meal plan is included in the housing fee.
Another type of accommodation is at the Hacienda Hotel ( http://www.haciendahotel-oldtown.com/) in San Diego's Old Town.
The room rate is $129. Please check with the hotel directly for further details on hotel amenities.
You cannot obtain the conference accomodation rate online.
To obtain the USD conference rate, reservations must be made via telephone.
Another option is the Mission Valley Resort Hotel. Located at 875 Hotel Circle South in Mission Valley. We have 8 rooms reserved for the conference. Rooms are reserved for July 11th - 14th {3 nights} at the following rates: 2 nights @ $129.00 + 10.5% tax per night {per room} and 1 night @ $139.00 + 10.5% tax {per room}. Please contact Esther Aguilar at esthera@sandiego.edu for more information on these accomodations and to obtain the proper confirmation numbers.
We will provide a shuttle bus from the hotel to the conference in the morning, and from the conference to the hotel at the end of each day’s sessions. In addition, we will urge those who have cars to check at the registration desk to see if there are other conference participants who need a ride.
